My husband takes Suboxone sublligually, and he has been taking it now for about 3 months.  I do not know what the length of time is that he is supposed to be taking it.  Is there a standard time period?  isn't he supposed to be tapering off of it?   The dosage has not been reduced at all in that time.  He has to see a psychiatrist quite often and it is expensive. 

Also,  I have noticed that when he drinks alcohol, he becomes very drunk just with one drink of vodka even, and it is also bizarre behavior.  He forgets where he is or what he is doing and becomes very belligerent.  He is very awful to be around when he gets into this zombie state.  He is 70 years old.  Sometimes I wonder if he is not getting dementia, but it is only when he drinks alcohol.
