Peridontitis cause and treatment

I was diagnosed yesterday with periodontitis - I brush my teeth twice daily how then can I contract this disease? I am a diabetic and it was not controlled for approx 10 years but it is now with insulin injections. Can I fully recover from this? what treatment is needed?

Got a tongue ring on Friday, now I have white thing at the bottom of my tongue

I got a tongue ring on friday Monday evening I notice I can't see the ball at the bottom of my tongue. The bottom of mt tongue have a whit thing something I would call look like information. I wanted to talk it out but someone told be to take antibiatic n comboflam n it will go away. PLEASE HELP ME

mouth sores and viral infection
