Cozaar & Benicar together

My cardio doctor perscribed cozaar and verapimil for hypertension. My kidney doctor added benicar. I am now taking 100mg Cozaar & 40 mg Benicar. The cardio dr. strongly questions the use of both, the kidney dr. says perfectally ok. I don't know which to believe.
