What does Methatrexate DO for my RA?

My RA doctor prescribed Methatrexate. What specifically does it DO? One person said it helps to keep inflamation from returning. Is this correct? Anything else?

Ok my question is.... My roommate has just been put on synthroid for a lack of energy, she sleeps alot doesnt want to do much because she is tired.. Well he gave her a low dosage odf .025 mg, he did not do blood work or anything like that, and she does not have a set schedule of when to take it....

Hi, my little sister has a sleeping problem and she`s on Melatonin tablets. But, the problem is that she hates tablets and when sh`s about to drink it with water, before bed time, she goes crazy. Is there any other way of using Melatonin? I really hate to see her going mad about some tablet.
