Ok my question is....
My roommate has just been put on synthroid for a lack of energy, she sleeps alot doesnt want to do much because she is tired.. Well he gave her a low dosage odf .025 mg, he did not do blood work or anything like that, and she does not have a set schedule of when to take it. He just told her to take it whenever she needed energy.. So I was wondering is this safe or am I worring for no reason?

Your friend should have blood test ASAP to see if her thyroid is abnormal. Since I have thyroid disease I can tell you that taking medicine (or the wrong amount) can make you feel like c**p.
It's worth the test. By the way I can't believe a doctor would put her on it without a blood test first! Maybe she had better go to another doctor.
