Prescription Stimulants

Prescription stimulants are drugs that make you more alert and wakeful. They stimulate both the central nervous system and sympathetic nervous system and often produce euphoric feelings. Stimulants are used to treat narcolepsy and other sleep disorders and help patients with ADD or ADHD. The most used stimulants are Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall and Adderall XR although there are some improved drugs called eugeroics. Modafinil and adrafinil, marketed as Provigil and Olmifon belong to this class.

How long does it take your body to adjust to Adderall? This is only my second day. I feel calm but a little light headed. Just 10 mg once a day. Is that normal?

Hello! My child suffers from ADHD and he has been on concerts 54mg for quite some time. What troubles me is that ever since he has been on this drug his appetite is decreased and he lost a lot of weight. I am very worried and I don’t know if I should take him off this drug because of that.

Dialated pupils and vyvanse

My son takes vyvanse and sometimes I notice his pupils are very dialated. I was wondering if there is any connection to this drug causing dialated pupils. If not, are there drugs that cause dialated pupils and what are they?

ADHD medication Concerta makes me lose my appetite

I am on a medicine for my add called concerta. That is how o think its spelled. Every time I take it it makes me not hungry. I am fat and 14 but then when I eat lunch t makes me almost throw up. So I don't eat lunch then I feel sick again later and hungry.
