Genital Warts - sexually transmitted only?

Is it possible to pick up Genital Warts thru means other than as an STI. I have contracted these recently but my doctor told me that they may not necessarilly be sexually transmitted. I have some on the lower part of my abdomen/stomach area and 2 on my penis? Any ideas?

ok so heres the thing. back in october i shaved my pubic hair i noticed some fleshy looking bumps on my upper vagina.. like where the top of my underware would be or the top of my underware.. no where near the inside of my vagina.
