Swallowing Problems months after ACDF

My mom is 59yeras old. She had ACDF in January. Months after she still is having difficulties with swallowing. Is that common after all this time? her surgeon told us just to be patient and that make me mad, because she really have hard time and she became very weak.

Do disc ever stop herinating? I already had multiple fusions (triple), now again…and I wondering if there is an end to all this... or will I have to sit and figure this all out when I get there. It’s been less then year since I though ended this agony.

rest to treat Cervical disc problems and pain?

My wife has multiple disc problems, herniated/protruded disc in cervical spine which causes her severe pain and bone spurs in lumbar area. Her doctor suggested two surgeries. I was just wondering how rest of you were handle or will handle multiple disc problems?

Swallowing issue 6 months after acdf c5-6

I am 6 months post-ACDF on c5-c6 and I have a hard time with swallowing. My voice became raspy and it didn't take much to irritate it to the point of hoarseness. I’ve been to PT and get the scar tissue worked over. I am waiting for script now. Is swallowing issue normal for post ACDF?
