Airway feels...obstructed, tonsils swelling?

Answered by a doctor

I've read that you know you need your tonsils removed when you start getting constant colds, sore throat etc. I feel like there's 2 things obstructing my breathing (I'm a mouth breather) and believe it to be my tonsils. Could this be it? Will I need to get them removed?

The consultant that took my tonsils out has told me to try and keep eating as normal and as much as it hurts i do it because he said it will help it getting working again. Everyone on here though is saying not to eat anything! I have had sandwiches, toast, crisps, chocolate and it is fine.
