Im on day 11. I'm in a strange situation. I have no pain. BUT... When i drink water or eat something i get sharp pain in my throat. Literally it's like I'm waking up my pain :/ scabs almost fell off. I got bright red throat. I'm on antibiotics .. And pain killers. is this normal?

My twin daughters (21 years) are both having tonsils, adnoids, deviated septum and turbinate surgery all at once.  We've heard horror stories about the pain.  ANY ADVICE?  I want to help them recover the best possible way.
