I am five days post op and I am not doing any better. First off my husband told me when he came to the back the nurse was talking to me even though I was still under anesthesia and wouldn't repeat what she'd said to me to him. One of those things being the straw which my husband has given me each time he brings me more fluid. On another note my tongue is the worst part as is the mucus I'm constantly spitting out. The medicine that was prescribed to me was hydrocodone and I think the pharmacist didn't fill the prescription right because I've been taking it every four hours as instructed but I'm now out and can't refill until three days from now. When she handed it to us it wasn't even full. So now I'm in pain. I too am suffering from the pain of swallowing and dry mouth in the night. Last night though when I woke up to take the last of my medicine it burned really bad cold water didn't even help ease the pain. I'm hungry all the time and can barely down the gatorade I have. How much longer until this pain is gone?
