Hi, I'm 18 and have only had one sexual partner who I've been with for 3 years. I've been on the pill for almost 3 years and had no problems but for the last few months I've had brown discharge and some bleeding about a week before my period is actually due. I'm pretty worried about it.

This is nothing to 'worry' about, as it is not a dangerous thing, annoying yes, but not dangerous.
This is why many women switch pills every few years or so, because sometimes they need a higher/lower dose to keep their body in good order =)
Perhaps it is time for a switch. Have you started any new medications? Taken diet pills or herbs? These can interfere with birth control, and lower the amount of hormones in your system.
