Pain in ball of big toe with movable mass under ball of toe,

There is a weird sensation in my big toe on the left foot. Underneath the ball of the toe there is what feels like a movable mass that hurts when you move it. It also causes the tip of my toe to become slightly numb. What might be causing this?

I noticed that i suffer from Knee pain after having alcohol ( Beer, Red wine and Whisky). I am not 100% sure that it is the alcohol but I am going to stop drinking and find it is alcohol.

I have neuroma on my left foot between the 2 big toes and the 2 smaller toes. Should I be playing right now while gettin cortizone shots or should I layoff? Also should I get the surgery if recommended or not?
