Why do I freak out when I smoke now and will it get better

Well I used to smoke all the time and now I freak out unless I eat the weed in some type of food such as dro-cookies and I think it may be because I take this anti mental psychosis medicine and I think I'm going to ask my doctor to take me off of it will that help me to enjoy smoking again
