What are your thoughts on living with a runner?

I have just got married. To a runner. We haven’t been living together before so I am beginning to notice some behaviors from my husband related to running. He told me that that was the way he had been doing for a long time and that he was not going to change it. Don’t get me wrong. I...

Training paces for elite runners

The McMillan calculator says that someone that runs a 2:15 marathon should have a long run pace of 5:39 to 6:39. That's roughly 6 min./mile pace on average. @ 100 MPW, that's only 10 hrs. of running. Does that sound right for an elite marathoner?

Do you think that heart is exposed to stress during training? I’m a bit worried because I have a minor heart condition and sometimes I feel that my heartbeat is irregular. I also frequently suffer from tachycardia, but as far as I know those are the results of the stress I have at work. How to...
