This is a nightmare. My legs won’t work after a couple of miles and I don’t know what to do. I’m 40 years old and I’ve never practiced any activity before. Maybe that’s the reason but I’m still worried because it’s very unpleasant. Do you think it can be something serious? I even make pauses while running, but in spite of that, my legs are killing me.

Perhaps the reason is your previous inactivity. Maybe you haven’t started running moderately and gradually, but all of a sudden wanted to run too long a distance. But no matter what, you should have your legs examined in order to rule out the possible health problem. I don’t think that can be anything serious. Or another possibility is that you’ve not running properly. Maybe your muscles are tense because of that. Or if you have flat feet, that can cause severe problems, especially if you don’t wear adequate running shoes. But step by step, first check your veins and after that see what kind of pronation and foot type you have. And after that, you’ll know the reason and how to solve it.
