What is the cause of this lower eye cyst I have had for about 3 weeks now???

I have had this abscess on my lower eyelid now for about 3 weeks and its driving me CRAZY!!! I really don't even want to leave the house some days because it looks s0o0o0o bad! What is the cause of this thing and what home remedies can I do to get rid of it quickly or at least make it less visible?
