Gallbladder removal not completely successful

A couple of months ago I had a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.  I now find out (from a C.T. scan) that a good portion of the gallbladder was not removed.  Is this unusual or is it common???  I am having some issues since the surgery.   Thanks for any info.
