Does the pain in the left arm relate to heart attack or some

I have pain in my left arm, it sometimes goes and comes back after a few days. The pain only takes place in my left arm and sometimes goes in to my right arm, i dont have any pain in my chest or anything. But could you please tell me if this is related to a heart attack or something
