Are there different types of hemrroids

I've noticed that I had a couple of hemrroids, went and used some ointment. The smaller one went away, the larger one is still there. Its kind of firm, and its not bleeding or no pain, there is probably no way of telling if it is an actuall hemrroid with out examination...correct. Thanks, dano

Pain Meds after surgery

How long do people usually have to take presciption pain meds after Hemorrhoid surgery. My surgery was four weeks ago and I still have to take 1/2 to 1 after a BM. I have tried taking Alleve or Ibuprofen but end up having to take something stronger. I am getting worried about it!!
