Hello,

It would be helpful to know what type of sugary she had and what pain medication she is on. I would doubt that she is fainting from the sugary or from the pain and because she is only 27 I assume she hasn’t had to many sugaries so I would suspect that she is either allergic to the anesthesia that was used or the pain medication she is taking.

In the event that it is the anesthesia (which it most likely would be) the doctor is right, it’s no big deal. Why, because she is still alive and allergies to anesthesia can cause death but it didn’t so it’s no big deal and she will be fine. However, it is a big deal to her that she know what anesthesia was used so next time she has sugary she can tell the doctor and Anesthesiologist that she may be allergic to it and they can use something else!

She may also be allergic to the medication that she is taking so can you tell if her fainting is associated with her taking her medication?
As for her not having a movement that is not normal after seven days. Is her doctor a colorectal surgeon?

Is she taking a stool softener and if so what and how often?

Is she taking Metamucil if so how much and how often?

Let me know these things and I can get you some better answers.
