How long does therapy for shoulder injury lasts?

Hello. My brother injured his shoulder two days ago. As far as I know, he will be wearing gyps for 3 or 4 weeks. After that he will go for a physical treatment. How long does this treatment usually take? I would really want to know that. Thanks for all your replies.

Surgery after Femoral neck fracture
