My husband works in a factory that deals with dangerous chemicals and at least once a month some injury happens. And even though they all took some course for giving the first aid in those situations, I am still worried for him. What are the basics of treating injury caused by chemicals?

Depending on the seriousness of the situation, the injured person should be taken immediately to the doctor. Chemicals, especially acid, might make a lot of damage in a very short time, so proper action has to be taken. Loss of fluid has to be compensated and the wound must be covered with bandage, but as I said, if it is something serious, doctor has to help.
