Hello, I am trying to help my kid as much as possible and that includes finding out why he is allergic to penicillin. Thank god there are so many different meds today so we can easily compensate for that allergy but I am still curious. Anybody knows why some people develop penicillin allergy?

I am so afraid for my father. He is 67 years old and he can add diabetes to his long list of chronic disease and illnesses he suffers from. I would like to learn something about the medication he will have to take-insulin. What are the risks of insulin allergy? Will he accept that medication well?
