Blackout after sudden stop during jogging

I blacked out (no chest pains or irregular heartbeat) about 15 minutes into jogging when I suddenly stopped to void being tripped by someone's dog chain.  Could this be because of the sudden stop?  Never had this episode in nearly 10 years of jogging.  Your comments would be appreciated.
