best drug for vertigo

What do you know about medications to treat vertigo? My partner is convinced that he suffers from vertigo. He is often dizzy and has problems in keeping his balance. There are also some hearing issues as well. If he does have vertigo, I would like to know what the best drug is for this condition.

I just had one hip replaced. I am facing getting the other hip done. However we winter in Fl. and could not get it done in time to go. The Dr. said I could get hip injections however they were very painful to get. Is this true? And could they sedate you before giving.\\\\ Thank you\ Judy
