Is it safe for a 5 year old girl to run?

My daughter, now 5 1/2, has been running for a few months with a YMCA kids group. Usually for 7 +, but the coaches (just runners, not really prof. coaches) thought she would do fine in the group, and she has (my amazing girl!). She has now run/walked a 5k (mostly run) and will do another this...

How can i lose weight?

I suck at running. I just do. I play soccer and joined cross country (usually about 2-3 miles 3x/wk). I am 13, 8th grade, 5'6 and a ridiculous 150 lbs. I'm much worse than all my friends who eat and are active the same way i am but have trouble losing weight rather than gaining it. My diet is...

Problems with treadmill running

Answered by a doctor

The week of Chritmas I dusted off my mom's tread (we were vacationing there for the holiday) and finally got some miles on that sorely neglected machine. Anyway, I like that I could be very consistant and competitive with my pace, but after a particularly good workout for me I found that my ankles...

How should i train for a triathlon?

In 20 days, I need to run fast after swimming 1500m, and cycling 40km. What do you think I should do? High mileage? Short fast runs? In training I can go about 11k long runs, just under 6:00/km. I can race sprint triathlons at 4:30/km.
