average weight loss after tonsillectomy

I assume most people have some weight loss after this procedure. I am curious regarding what to expect. I am on day #1 post-op and have eaten one soft egg (caused a waterfall of blood down the back of my throat for a couple of minutes.) I had some soup yesterday and today. That wasn't as bad....

im on day 8 now, and the pain is slowly calming down, and i can finally talk without it hurting now, day 1,2,3, were not that bad, i ate a full meal, day 4,5,6, were the worst, the ear ache was sooo painful, and the bad breath was disgusting... i still find it painful to eat, so im sticking with...
