I realize this is an old topic but i am on my 7th day after a tonsillectomy....my doctor prescribed some steroids which help the swelling but those only work 12 hours...i still cannot eat without the steroids kicking in (about 5pm...take it at 2) so i dont know what im going to do when i run out =(
