I'm a nineteen year old girl, and I had mine out on Tuesday morning. Tuesday and Wednesday weren't so bad, but Thursday was. It was more because of the nauseousness than anything, but my throat did hurt more than it had the previous two days. Today (Friday) I wasn't as nauseous, but I still am a bit. And my throat hurts the same amount as it did on Thursday, maybe just a bit more. I've heard people saying that days 3-4 after the surgery are the worst, and I'm curious as to what you all think. Personally, it hasn't been too bad for me. As long as I've taken my meds on schedule, I've been able to eat and everything. I've had mashed potatoes, soup, popsicles, ice cream, pasta, pudding, and I was even able to eat some pretzels tonight. I needed something to crunch on, so I would bite part of a pretzel and then suck on it until it was soggy enough to slide down. Didn't irritate my throat at all. I've been feeling pretty good so I'm trying to stop taking the medicine so frequently. I mean don't get me wrong I do have some pain. My ears ache for some weird reason, as does my head. I have a toothache. I've been feeling pretty nauseous and if I don't take my medication exactly on schedule my throat makes me absolutely miserable. But with how I've been able to eat and stuff, it just seems that I'm doing very well compared to a lot of the posts I've read. So I guess I'm wondering, am I a rare case where there's not too much pain? Or does the worst happen later than days 3-4?
