I had an abortion on January 2nd, 2006 and it has been almost 5 months, and I have had a brownish discharge for 3 out of the 4 weeks in the month. None of the doctors in my area can really fix it. They put me on all different sorts of antibiotics and birth control to regulate, but none have helped. I'm beginning to think their idiots. I haven't heard of anyone having problems for this long after having the surgery. Do you know what the problem could possibly be so I can bring it up to my doctor at my next visit as a possibility?

Birth control can actually cause many many women to spot!
AND if you are on antibiotics that will lower the effectiveness of your birth control, and cause to to spot more!!
Do you have a planned parnethood nearby? What you may need is a higher dose birth control method..Not too high..But one Like OVCON 35..
Spotting is normal while you are on birth control for the first 2-3 months..But if you constantly switch birth control etc..You will keep spotting because you do not give your body enough time to get used to hormones.
