I have heard there are many people using Lamictal, so I was not so much worried when my doctor prescribed me the same. Anyway, now when I started to take it, I have heard for its side effects. I have heard that more so than any other anticonvulsant, Lamictal is going to give us rashes. I did not notice anything so far, and I am using it for one week, but still I am worried. That is why I want to hear info about Lamictal, and I would appreciate anything you could tell me.

Problem with rash as side effect of Lamictal is a real problem, because Stevens-Johnson syndrome is bigger concerns with Lamictal. Any rash with Lamictal needs to be closely watched, because it is the combination of an itching rash and fever. When this happens with any anticonvulsant, this usually needs immediate attention from a doctor. Anyway, I wish everyone would just calm the hell down about this rash. Although they say it can be fatal, but it usually takes forever to kill you, so that is definitely something, you should not be worried. I have heard for situation when one member of a bipolar support group walked around with an itchy rash and a fever for two weeks before she saw a doctor, and she was fine. All info you need to know about Lamictal is that once you see the first symptoms, you should stop taking Lamictal. Then rash will go away and you will be safe, and your problem solved. Off course, that does not mean you should be lax about any itchy rash and fever, because these skin things have no fixed rate. Important info is if you live in a country where Lamictal is available, you live where the hospitals can deal with the rash without it being a big deal.
