Just stopped smoking now skin looks awful

I had NOT expected this!!! It has been 2 weeks since I quit. It is still hard. I had expected some weight gain from quitting smoking but had not expected dull looking skin with breakouts, and just like more wrinkly skin basically. It's hard to describe but my skin definitely looks awful and I am...

My armpit smells awful recently - even after showering

Answered by a doctor

Yeah, not nice. I rub and rub and rub with soap in the shower and I can still smell the sweat residue. Very pungeant. And I have to change my clothes sometimes two, three times a day. And also, it can happen that my clothes come out of the washing machine on 40 degrees and I can still smell the...

Shea butter or coconut oil: What is better for dry skin?

Answered by a doctor

Hi folks! I have very dry skin pretty much all over my body at the moment... no idea what's wrong with me! I've never experienced this before! My normal body lotion isn't working AT ALL any more and may even be making things worse? So I've done some Googling and right now it seems like either...

PaloVia skin renewing laser vs. Tria age-defying laser

Answered by a doctor

I have hypothyroidism. Among other things, it is really affecting my skin. Frankly, when I look in the mirror, I see skin that looks pale and dry - in a word, unhealthy. My skin feels cold to the touch as well, something my husband often comments on. My nails and hair are a mess too. I know these...

Dry and flaky skin because of swimming pool... remedies?

I really like swimming. I go there with my friend twice a week, because we get monthly passes, and we keep fit that way. We really enjoy each other's company at the same time. The only disadvantage is that I have started suffering from really dry skin. My friend doesn't seem to be affected by it...

Red bumps in and around armpits... what could this be?

Answered by a doctor

I get waxed and have been, at the same salon, for years. Though the waxing is the most obvious candidate for the cause of the red bumps here, I have NEVER experienced anything even remotely like this before. And it isn't just in the area where hair grows that I have these red bumps, which are...

Is sunscreen effective in protecting more sensitive areas while indoor tanning?

I've recently started working on my pre-holiday tan. I use a standing booth for only 5-7 minutes at a time. While all of my body's completely fine - not even slightly irritated - my decolletage gets mildly burned. Will it be sufficient to put a 30 SPF sunscreen on this particular area?
