PaloVia skin renewing laser vs. Tria age-defying laser

Hi! I have used the PaloVia skin renewing laser for a few years now, in combination with a better skincare routine than I had before. I have overall been very happy with the decreased wrinkles and increased firmness of my skin, but my PaloVia has now died and I am looking for something to...

Is Crisco better than Creme de la Mer?

This is a weird general interest thing I came across, and wanted to share.  So, I found a blog post on which a woman discussed how Crisco may be a better moisturizer than the famous Creme de la Mer. For those from other countries or those who happen not to know what Crisco is, it's not a...

skin pigmentation with hypothyroidism

Answered by a doctor

I have hypothyroidism. Among other things, it is really affecting my skin. Frankly, when I look in the mirror, I see skin that looks pale and dry - in a word, unhealthy. My skin feels cold to the touch as well, something my husband often comments on. My nails and hair are a mess too. I know these...

Dry and flaky skin because of swimming pool... remedies?

I really like swimming. I go there with my friend twice a week, because we get monthly passes, and we keep fit that way. We really enjoy each other's company at the same time. The only disadvantage is that I have started suffering from really dry skin. My friend doesn't seem to be affected by it...

Answered by a doctor

I get waxed and have been, at the same salon, for years. Though the waxing is the most obvious candidate for the cause of the red bumps here, I have NEVER experienced anything even remotely like this before. And it isn't just in the area where hair grows that I have these red bumps, which are...

Hair hair everywhere

First problem: armpits. Hello. I am a 20 year old female and I have gray armpits. I'm not sure why. I shave with Aveeno shaving cream and a good razor and most of the hair is removed with maybe a little stubble, but i can tell that the leftover hair is not the cause. Simply the skin in the armpit...

Boils on butt keep coming back!!!

Answered by a doctor

Hey, This is a somewhat embarrassing problem, but I'll use plain language and hope that someone can help me out.  I've had what I believe must be boils on my butt for many, many years on and off, since I was a teenager. They tend to be rather painful, especially when pressure is applied,...
