Pain in both my feet

Can someone help me.  I am getting pain on both my feet on the left and right side of my shine bone,  my doctor told me my nerve is damage he give me to Cymbailta 30mg once a day, the pain has stop but I am concern with what is really wrong with me.  I am a diabetic.

Metformin 500mg x 4 a day
