Ear and jaw discomfort

Hi, ive been haveing ear/jaw discomfort for a few years now. It doesnt really hurt but just kinda aggrivating. I can make it feel better if i pop my ears and a few other weird movements of the jaw and breathing. Im not even sure if this belongs in this section but its the closes match i could find....

a ringing sound in my left ear

sometimes, about three times a day at different times i get a ringing in my left ear. its gets a little painful sometimes but manageable. What causes this ringing? Could it be my sinus infection?

loss of balance or equalibrium

My husband is 53. He works in construction. Very strong and healthy. Today he said that he felt sort of light headed or dizzy. Now I notice that his equalibrium is off and he has to hold on to things to sit down. He said that he doesn't feel sick just off balance. What could have caused this?
