Has anyone ever used an Internet Coach?

Has anyone used one? I'm looking at options for coaching for myself and several of the girls I train with. We can go with a local coach but just wondered how people have found using an internet coach v a local one.

Orthopedist told me to never, ever do squats or lunges

Orthopedist here in Ecuador (educated in Brazil I think) tells me to never, ever do squats or lunges. Full-flexion with weight adds 7-10 times the weight to your knees. I started doing squats and lunges 4 months ago. Any reason I should stop and be doing something else? thanks
