What causes lung to collapse?

I’m not enough informed about collapsed lung, but I want to know much more about it because my really good friend has it. Somebody told me that it doesn’t need to be dangerous but still I’m worried a lot. Please, can somebody tell me what causes lung to collapse? Thanks!

Really bad asbestos problem

Can lung collapse spontaneously?

My father has collapsed lung. He is on therapy since last week and he is better now. We hope that he will be ok soon. But I don’t know how it happened to him. He didn’t know that he had any lung disease. I’m wondering can lung collapse spontaneously? Thanks!

How can lung collapse?

I’ve just heard that father of my wife has a collapsed lung. I know that this condition can be very difficult if you don’t treat it well but he is in hospital now and I believe that he will be ok. Can somebody tell me how can lung collapse? Thanks!
