Has anyone ever tapered off methadone during pregnancy? I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant and on 120 mg a day, I'd like to taper off completely before third trimester and am scared my baby will not survive. Please help!

My son is off methadone 30 days.  He has good days and bad days.  He has gone for a week without symptoms, then they come back. He was on methadone for 20 months.  Is it normal for him to feel ok for a few days, then sick again?
