My son is off methadone 30 days. He has good days and bad days. He has gone for a week without symptoms, then they come back. He was on methadone for 20 months. Is it normal for him to feel ok for a few days, then sick again?

Please be careful... I went cold turkey from fentanyl 2 times by myself and the 2nd time almost killed me. Fentanyl is 100x stronger than morphine, but the symptoms are the same across the board. Have plenty of gatorade (sub for your preference) with in arms reach, a bucket and tissues/towels at your bed side. If you have access to medical supplies/meds, an alpha blocker (patch) is recommended and perhaps ativan unless there's an abuse issue with benzos.
