lump on muzzle

I am really hoping that there is someone who knows something about ferrets on this forum! My ferret developed a lump on its muzzle recently and I am quite concerned that it could be a tumour. So is there anyone who can tell me how to differentiate between tumours and other things?

My cat lost a lot of weight and had surgery and now won't get it back.

I resently went to the vet because my cat was constantly throwing up. He had an inflamitory disease. It was so bad that the vet thought that he had swolowed a necklace. He put my cat on steroids and changed his food. He would refuse to eat it because he didn't like it. Well I changed it back to what...

life expectancy for indoor cats

I am thinking of getting a pair of cats, but I am still concerned about a couple of the practicalities. We live in an apartment and my cats would be indoor cats. What is the normal life expectancy for indoor cats, and do they need any special care that differs from cats who do go outside? What else...

lump on pet rat

My rat has been with us for a few years now and I am very fond of him. Just yesterday I was patting him and stroking him, when I noticed a large-ish lump on the back of its head. I am worried that it could be a tumor or something. What do you think about this? What can I do?

dog lump on tail

I have a 13 year old dog. It is still very lively and doing pretty well for its age. Today, while I was brushing him, I noticed a lump on his tail. It is quite sizeable, about the size of a cherry or something, perhaps even a bit bigger. I can move it about and it doesn't seem to hurt him. What do...

lump on hind leg dog

I have a 10 year old dog who is still very active. He often play in the park or in the woods together, and he also has some "dog friends" which he plays with sometimes. They are rough games, and the other day after a trip with my friend's dog I noticed my dog got a lump on his hind leg. What can...
