back swelling

Hello! I think I have back swelling. It causes me pain in lower back, stiffness and swelling. I was lifting some heavy boxes and I guess this happened. What should I do? Any advise is welcome.

Diffuse cervical spondylosis with degenerative Modic type 2

Am I looking at both neck and back surgury with this diagnosis? I also have from C3-C7 to T1 moderate to sever disc osteophyte complex. and large disc osteophyte. I am in constant pain and am unable to do most household chores.
