Front, Right-side of throat soreness/pain

Ok, every once and a while I have a pain on the right side of my throat, in the dip (thats on either side of the middle of the throat). It feels slightly swollen as well (compared to the other side). Sometimes its a sharp pain, and other times its a dull pain I can ignore. What is it??

lump in throat after eating- please advise;

For a couple of weeks now, I have noticed that a lump appears on my right hand side of my throat after eating. It is right underneath my jaw. If I press on the lump, puslike fluid comes out from the right gland under my tongue. It's not painful, but it worries me.
