Awful taste in mouth and cough up stones, but tonsils are out, plus 1 lingual tonsil out too.

I've had my tonsils out and also 1 lingual tonsil removed, but I still have an awful taste in my mouth, and cough up, stone-like stuff, sometimes. I tried acid reflux meds and they didn't help. What could cause this?
