Ladies. I just had the same issue. Had a yeast infection. Used monistat 1 on Monday night. Started getting progressively worse until Thursday I couldn't handle it anymore and went to my obgyn. At this point my vagina was literally swollen shut. My obgyn struggled to even get in there to swab. It burned and itched like crazy and peeing is a night mare. I've used this product in the past. However I've never had this reaction before. Everything is still pretty swollen and I am extremely uncomfortable.
Doctor prescribed 1 diflucon tablet.
And has me doing 1/2 hydrocortisone and 1/2 zinc oxide (mostly to relieve itching and seal out fluid on rash)
Also has me doing an avenno oatmeal bath once a day.
It's very effective so far.
The only reason he didn't think std was because I just had a regular std test two weeks ago. I am still pretty shocked this happened.
