I have recently started the oral-contraceptive 21 day pill. I started on the first day of my period and today is the last pill in the pack,so tomorrow I begin the 7 day break. What should i expect? Should i expect a bleed straight away for the seven days or does it come later in the seven days? What about cramping? Is the bleed exactly like a period? I just want to know what to expect

You should expect a period within this seven day period. After completing this 7 day period, you can resume your pills. As for your periods, every woman has a different reaction to BC pills, some get shorter periods while some have it a little longer. But resume pills after a gap of 7 days. Good luck

Thankyou, i understand that. I am just wondering when I will recieve the bleed and for how many days? Will it be straight away and for the full seven days or will it be later in the week? I have read so many different things and I just want to know what is the exact facts. The leaflets I recieved from the clinic aren't specific at all.

They don't specify because every single woman behaves differently on BC pills. You may have normal periods or maybe different this time
