Hello! I am suffering from psorisis. My condition is so severe and I am experiencing cracking of the skin and bleeding and awful pain. My doc prescribed me cortizone injections. How safe are they? Thank you

Hi! I don’t know about cortizone injections bit I have been using methatrexate. This drug brought me back to life. I experience no more pain like before and the statistics say that may even help clear the skin. Talk to your doctor about this drug! It helped me get my life back on the tracks.

My husband has this problem on both of his elbows and knees.

He needed shoulder surgery, but he wanted to hold off.
The Dr. gave him 1 shot of cortizone in his right shoulder and his Psorisis went completly away within a week and stayed away for about 2 months, I mean completely clear.

I have no clue as to how safe it is to get this injection on a regular basis but it sure made him feel better about himself, at least for the time being.

Now interesting enough, he has had the surgery on his right shoulder and his psorisis is completly gone on the left side of his body, it came back on the left though.
I think that maybe irritation in the bones or tissue has something to do with psorisis, maybe he has a problem on the left side of his body too.
Im not a Dr. but, I know what I have seen and wanted to share this with you. Hope this helps you decide. I say Go For It!

I do not think they are safe based on what I have heard but I have had many cortisone shots directly in my hands, elbows and knees. The psorisis clears up almost immeadiately. It's like a miracle, but then weeks later it comes back. I do not believe you can use this as an ongoing treatment. I wish it was though as I have terrible pain in my hands from psorisis and am constantly looking for a cure.

 I hate to tell you this but shots arn't the answer. Oh, sure they help for a time, my mom had this stuff for years and right before she died they gave her the cortazone shots and she cleared up. It is an inside things and I have controled mine with diet. Want to know what you can't eat? It's a long list but can be followed and in the long run you lose weight too.
Dairy (thy soy milk, I love it)
Red meat (you can have chicken, baked or broiled and white turkey)
Pork
Shellfish (white fish is allowed)
white sugar (splenda is wonderful)
white bread (use 100% whole wheat bread)
white rice (there is brown rice)
fried foods
tomatoes
peppers
caffeen
chocolate (this makes me very sad)
msg
hydrogenated oils (use first cold pressed olive oil)

Give it a try, it may take as long as 6 months but it works and is worth it. Keep the patches moist. Try Vicks, it's good to put on at night.
God bless. Linda

Hello,
I have read carefully the blog posts, and I believe that I can assist you in locating more information relating to the topic. Although there are many cures to skin disease and head Psoriasis, there is only one proven and very efficient remedy to reduce the disease to a negligible state for long periods of time and, hence, to reduce the overall suffering caused by it.
In a study published by the Dead Sea in Israel, it seems that the perception of visitors in the medical-tourism sector has been correct. At least, according to the study, it is now official. The Dead Sea has healing attributes that cause the disease to regress. It is possible to sign up to the study at the following address:
Thank you again for the good work that you are doing – on behalf of all that are suffering.
