Going in to the MRI, what should i be expecting?

I am having a MRI for my calf this afternoon. What should I be expecting? This will be my first ever MRI and I have heard horror stories about being in that enclosed tube or something. Because it is just the calf, will my head be inside the tube? (Assuming it is a closed MRI).
