How to start training consistently?

Alright, if I can keep up some consistancy for the next 2 weeks, I'd like to start on an actual training schedule. It seems for all schedules, you need to have a goal for a specific distance. I'm not too keen on that because there's several distances I want to race. But if you want a race, say a...

Do you ever run your routes in the opposite direction?

do you ever run your routes in the opposite direction? I have been doing to add a little variety lately and it is amazing how much more difficult the run seems running in a counter-clock wise direction compared to the clockwise direction.

My friend asked if I want to play on his soccer league in the fall. I think it would be fun, but I have this fear that I'll twist my ankle or knee or something else will happen and I won't be able to run, which would suck. Does anyone else avoid playing sports like soccer and basketball because...

Always wear your running identification

Answered by a doctor

Please always carry identification on you. It doesn't matter if it's just a few miles or not. This isn't an ad for particular identification tags or anything. Just a friendly reminder.

Answered by a doctor

Who is using USATF's America's Running Routes? What a great tool to approximate a running route. I know it doesn't account for elevation but it is a great tool for runners. As I travel quite a bit for work, I can now plan out a quite route or look to see what routes are out there in a given area....
