how long until Rubber band for ligation fall off?

I had rubber banding 13 days ago on 2 grade 2 piles they haven't fallen off yet because the bulge during a bowl movement has any one else's taken this long to fall of ?or has the procedure failed ,I haven't seen the bands come off prematurely

I am day 5 post hemorrhoidectomy and for the most part have managed well. Here in Australia the doctors tend to keep you hospitalised until you are able to use your bowel. I was surprised that no special prep was required prior to surgery and no enema given. I had several large internal haemorrhoids...
