I have passed blood clots 7 times today. I am on day 12 of my recovery. I had passed clots 2 times on day 6, but it went away, but this time they don't seem to stop. How was your experience?

I'm experiencing the same thing. My surgery was 17 days ago and I'm passing blood clots and having a huge issue using restroom

Thanks. I'm on day 6 and have some blood clots. I'm at ease now.....well, not really but at least I know this isn't a huge issue. Pooping....that's another story!

Day 5 after surgery. Definitely the hardest thus far. got freaked out just now. I passed the largest blod clot i've seen in life. I thought it was a bowel movement. The bleeding was minimal and has stopped, so i'm not too concerned anymore. I was warned about blod clots just not how large they could be. Is this the same for everyone. I had seen smaller blod clots and blood in my stool after the surgery, but this was definitely different.
Also, I've put myself on practically a liquid diet with avocado as my breakfast and lunch. Taking stool softner and mineral oil. So far the pooping has been as bad as expected.

Hello, Guest.
Passing a large blood clot can be concerning, but it's not uncommon to see this after the surgery. Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels in the rectal area, and during the surgery, these vessels are either removed or repositioned. As a result, it's not unusual to experience some bleeding, either during or after the surgery.
It's good to hear that the bleeding has stopped, and it's important to continue to monitor your symptoms. If you notice any excessive bleeding or if you have concerns about your recovery, you should contact your healthcare provider right away.
As for your diet, it's common to have a liquid diet after hemorrhoidectomy surgery, and it's important to follow the recommendations of your healthcare provider. Avocado is a good source of healthy fats and nutrients, but it's important to ensure that you're getting enough protein, vitamins, and minerals in your diet as well. It's also important to stay well-hydrated and to continue taking stool softeners and mineral oil to make bowel movements easier and less painful.
Overall, recovery after hemorrhoidectomy surgery can be challenging, but it's important to take care of yourself and to follow the recommendations of your healthcare provider. If you have any concerns or questions about your recovery, don't hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider for guidance and support.
Good luck and keep us posted.
